Youth Volunteer Program
Los Alamitos Volunteer Program (L.A.V.P.) members are able to learn teamwork, leadership, participate in job training workshops, be involved in the community, and make new friendships. These skills will help each volunteer develop their portfolio of professional skills and gain valuable training for their future.
L.A.V.P. is also designed to assist participants in acquiring valuable job skills by offering opportunities to get involved in the community year-round. L.A.V.P. members play key roles in enhancing the City's programs and community-wide special events. In Summer 2022, 80 volunteers assisted in a wide variety of summer program and events running Monday - Saturday.
