Holiday Bucks

The City of Los Alamitos would like to add some sparkle this Holiday Season for businesses and residents of Los Alamitos. As a seasonal extension of Los Al Bucks, specially marked Holiday Bucks will be available for use throughout the entire month of December at all participating businesses. Holiday Bucks will be exclusive to Los Alamitos residents who donate an unwrapped toy at the Toy Drive collection on Wednesday, November 30 between 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Community Center and at Winter Wonderland for the entire event on Saturday, December 3. Additional criteria can be found below. The Toy Drive and Holiday Bucks collaboration enhances the spirit of giving as it benefits the various non-profit organizations involved in Serve Los Al and the community at whole through this economic development push. Funding for Holiday Bucks is made possible by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) as part of the Los Al Bucks program. Eligibility to receive Holiday Bucks:

  • Must be a Los Alamitos resident, adult (18 and over) to receive Holiday Bucks and provide proof of residency through a Driver’s License, ID, or utility bill
  • Must donate at least one (1) unwrapped toy and present at the Toy Drive collection on Wednesday, November 30 between 4:00pm - 7:00pm at the Los Alamitos Community Center (10911 Oak Street) and Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 3 between 4:00pm - 7:30pm at the St. Isidore Historic Plaza (10961 Reagan Street and Pine Street)
  • May receive $10 per resident in exchange for one (1) unwrapped toy donation or up to $40 per household for maximum of four (4) unwrapped toy donations
  • Holiday Bucks are limited - while supplies last
  • Holiday Bucks will be eligible for use at all participating Los Al Bucks businesses throughout the month of December 2022
  • Holiday Bucks may not be doubled and is separate from the Double Your Bucks Program 
  • Holiday Bucks may not be combined with regular Los Al Bucks as part of one single transaction
  • All regular Los Al Bucks Program guidelines will apply to Holiday Bucks
