Los Alamitos residents may notice concrete shaving along sidewalks taking place citywide. This is part of the City’s commitment to ongoing sidewalk assessment.
The City of Los Alamitos has contracted Precision Concrete Cutting (PCC) to repair trip hazards above ¼” to 2 ½” on City sidewalks.
PCC identified a total of 2,290 sidewalk hazards citywide recommended for concrete shaving to remove tripping hazards. The City was divided into 5 zones.
PCC will proceed with the work on the following order of zones : Zone 2, Zone 5, Zone 4, Zone 3, and Zone 1.
